Job Summary:

Are you flexible and available to provide program supervision for late afternoon, evening, and graveyard shifts? Are you compassionate about empowering mothers to achieve self-sufficiency? If so HealthRIGHT 360 is currently looking to fill an Overnight Counselor position opening at our Prototypes Family Residential Center in Tustin, Ca! The ideal candidate has experience working with mothers and children, knowledge of a residential treatment setting, and is able to utilize Microsoft Office. In this position you will join a highly trained and passionate team, provide wrap around treatment services for addiction, mental health, parenting, life skills, and self-sufficiency, and affect meaningful changes for a vulnerable population. Prototypes, at the beautiful Tustin Family Campus, is an 18 month residential treatment program serving 15 mothers with up to 32 children. All residents have open Child and Family Service Cases in the County of Orange. These mothers are working to reunify with their children while at the same time addressing their histories with addiction and mental health. Our treatment team works closely with Orange County Social Services, Orange County Mental Health and Family Court to ensure successful case plan completion and reunification. Clients receive substance abuse counseling and education, counseling and education in parenting and life skills as well as individual and group therapy for both mothers and children. The goal for our clients is that they graduate with custody of their children, affordable housing and a steady income.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises mothers and children during late afternoon, evening, or graveyard shifts.
  • Oversee mothers' work related to independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, meal planning, shopping, etc.)
  • Monitors parent child interactions to ensure safety and wellbeing of children.
  • Provides timely accurate documentation regarding client activity.
  • Supports treatment team through administrative duties relating to tracking and documentation
  • May be required to drive company vehicle to transport clients or go shopping

Education & Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Successful applicants will be Certified Substance Abuse Counselors valid in the state of CA or a registered intern working toward certification. Hours worked count towards certification.
  • Prefer 1-2 years' experience working in a treatment program, preferably residential.
  • Prefer 1-2 years' experience working with Mothers and Children.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • California Driver's License with proof of insurance
